The following are the Starfish Asia fund partners in Pakistan to whom we have made
commitments for support.
Each child we support in school needs not more than £3 / $6 a month!
- We support the team of ladies that serves the poor through the Fellowship of Christ
in Lahore, together with a grant for the administrative costs of the Fellowship.
- We cover the full costs of running the Lahore Christian College, providing free
education to 450 children from poor homes. We give grants to cover the maintenance
of their building.
- We give a grant to meet the needs of running the School for Special Children in
Sharakpur.
- Through the Fellowship of Christ, we cover the expenses
and school fees for 60 children in Youhannabad, Lahore, to
attend Christian schools.
- We provide an agreed monthly subsidy to the CGA Home
for Special Children in Lahore to help towards the costs
of running the home and for the care of these Special children. We help with their
housing needs.
- We meet most of the monthly running expenses of the Ananias Home for Blind
Girls in Youhannabad, Lahore.
- We provide about 75% of the budget each month to give free education to the 230
children at the Miracle School, Lahore.
- We provide funds to cover the teachers' salaries every month at the Holy Shepherd
School , Karachi, as well as giving grants from time to time for maintenance of the
school buildings.
- We give a small monthly subsidy to pay the rent for the school building at the CAP
Junior School in Youhannabad, Lahore.
- We provide scholarships for 100 poor village children attending the Samuel Memorial
High School near Sahiwal, central Punjab. We also give a monthly grant for the costs
of the clinic.
- We provide a grant each month to the Christian School at
Rak Dera Chahal to cover their budget shortfall. We have
undertaken to increase this to enable them to add further
classes in order to become an accredited High School.
- We have provided intial set-up costs, as well as a full grant
for running the Sadaye-Aman Junior School in Sargodha.
We can't help them all - but we have got to help some! |
