Pastor Iqbal was a
childhood victim of polio and
now testifies to how God
miraculously healed him.
He committed himself to
rescue and care for
handicapped children. He
and his family have a big
heart to give love and care to children with both
physical and mental disabilities from poor
homes in their community.
They at first opened their own home to about
ten handicapped children to provide loving
protection and an education that their own
overstretched families could not provide -- giving
hope to children who had no hope. The Starfish
Asia Fund paid for the home to shift to larger
premises and supports the running costs of the
home at £400 / $700 per month. Iqbal now cares
for about 20 children. The home continues to
develop and grow and by May 2006 we will need
to help them find new premises, possibly even
purchasing or building a home to last long into
the future. |
